In light of the in-game images of Tekken 7: Fated Retribution that were leaked earlier today, we at Unifiltekken noticed something interesting.

If you look at the image that shows the new character select screen, you’ll notice that the character name (Akuma in this case) seems to be placed unusually high. There’s a very noticeable space between the name and the first row of characters in the image.

Now, was this by accident or by design? If it was the latter, what could the space possibly be for? Well, there are two things that come into mind, but we think that the space will be eventually be holding an extra row of characters.

An entire row of characters seems to fit perfectly in the space.
An entire row of characters seems to fit perfectly in the space.

The space has the exact same height as the splash arts of the already available characters. If this really is the case, that means players can expect up to fifteen additional characters to the roster of Tekken 7: Fated Retribution.

There’s also another theory that the space will be holding several choices for your Rage Art or at least the input for your character’s Rage Art once you confirm your character selection. Very much possible, but there’s also the possibility that they’ve removed the Rage Art input display completely. After all, the unblockables for each character which were also somehow their signature moves were never displayed at all in the previous Tekken games. Why do it now?

Of course, this is all speculation and nothing is confirmed. Just a little something to think about.

Stay tuned for more updates.
