After an incredibly heated top 8, the open qualifier on South Korea’s VSL The Fist has given us three more South Korean representatives for the King of Iron Fist finals in Japan.

In the semifinals, Paul player RushCash outplayed Chanel and his Alisa to get to the grand finals. On the other side of the bracket, Gigas player Dotoring was rendered unable to do much against Kazumi player Hatano’s spacing and defense. With smart pokes and pressure, Hatano felled Dotoring to move on to the grand finaĺs.

During the grand finals, Hatano was defeated by RushCash to claim the top spot. For the last spot remaining to qualify for the big final in Japan, Chanel beautifully shut down Dotoring with less defense than Hatano, but with more poke and pressure.

RushCash, Hatano and Chanel will be joining student players LowHigh, ImSoHot and GoraeBob in the final tournament of the King of Iron Fist 2016 in Japan on December 10, 2016. Three more players will be joining them tomorrow from the women’s division so don’t miss it!
