PBE.AK was placed in a heavy block together with EVO 2016 champion Saint, and other top players Hatano and Nidaime Icusu. Despite the tight competition, he worked his way to the top two of his block, only losing against Saint, and moved on to the main tournament.

In the main tournament, PBE.AK got past the first round by beating Tsubumi, a match up that he himself picked during the lottery for bracketing position. In the second round, he defeated S.H.O.W. convincingly with two straight dominating rounds.

His run ended however on the third round where he faced Saint once more. PBE.AK almost got past Saint taking it all the way to the last chance round for Saint. Saint however, managed to readjust against PBE.AK and brought it all the way back to move on to the next round.

Back in 2013, PBE.AK also fell twice against Saint in the main tournament, finishing in third place overall. In 2015 however, PBE.AK never made it out of his pool, along with the other players from countries without Tekken 7. This top 8 finish by PBE.AK is a triumph that the Filipino Tekken community will be celebrating proudly, and everyone is eager for his safe arrival back home in the Philippines.

Congratulations PBE.AK!!!
