Tekken 7 Gets Main Stage at EVO 2017
The full (almost) lineup of EVO 2017 has been announced live on stream earlier, and Tekken 7 is one of the games in the spotlight.
Tekken 7 will be featured on the event’s main stage and will be having its grand finals on the last day of EVO 2017 alongside Street Fighter V and the Smash Bros. games. This is the first time in a while that Tekken has been featured on the biggest stage of EVO which makes it an amazing opportunity to show off the game and the community.
Aside from Tekken 7, Street Fighter V, and Smash Bros., EVO 2017 will also be featuring King of Fighter XIV, Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator 2, and surprisingly BlazBlue Central Fiction and Injustice 2. BlazBlue is one of the older games in the selection while Injustice 2 is one of the newest with the game set to release in May this year, just a few months before EVO 2017.
Last year in EVO 2016, the Tekken Project’s Katsuhiro Harada and Michale Murray, together with Mark Julio took the stage to reveal Bob and Master Raven for Tekken 7. They also revealed the restart of EVO Japan which will begin in 2018. On a big stage like EVO, it should be expected that more big news concerning the fighting game community may be revealed so be sure to keep an eye out for it.
EVO 2017 will be held at Las Vegas on July 14-16 this year.
