A few days ago, the Cebu Tekken scene showed that its passion for the game continued to burn strong as the players competed in ClutchZone’s Tekken 7 tournament.

Despite having only a little more than two weeks to prepare for the competition, the players were very much ready to fight for the vacant title of Cebu’s Tekken 7 champion. After a full day of heated Tekken action between high level players, the crown was taken by none other than Francis Steven “Gogoy” Cabahug.

Gogoy is known as the best Xiaoyu player in the Philippines, and is even known by the international community for his impressive use of the Chinese fighter. In the ClutchZone tournament grand finals Gogoy fought hard against his Asuka opponent Jeremy, refusing to yield even a single match before resetting the bracket. In the last best of 5 set, the two fought extremely close battles all the way to the final match where Gogoy managed to take his hard fought victory.

The rest of the results are as follows:

1st: Francis
2nd: Jeremy
3rd: Bully
4th: Chad
5th: Chong
5th: Lawrence
7th: Boby
7th: Shotibebe

If you’re in Cebu and looking for some Tekken 7 action, give ClutchZone a visit and hit up the local players for a good rumble. You can find their store at LDM Bldg 2nd floor(above ministop) Gov M Cuenco Ave
Cebu City.

Hope to see more great matches and events from the Cebu Tekken scene!
