The yearly Brawlfest at ESGS 2018 had its own event early this year, and taking its place at ESGS 2018 is the Fighting Games Arena.

As the name suggests, the Fighting Game Arena is a battlefield featuring the latest competitive fighting games including Dragon Ball FighterZ, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Smash 4 for Wii U, Guilty Gear Xrd: Rev 2, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and of course Tekken 7. The entire first day of Fighting Game Arena at ESGS 2018 will be dedicated for FREE PLAY, while the second and third day will be having tournaments for the said titles.

The champions for Tekken 7, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Smash 4 for Wii U, and BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle will be representing the country at EVO Japan 2019.

Several side tournaments will also be held for other games namely, Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax, Vampire Savior, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st], and the recently released Soul Calibur VI. There will also be a friendly meet for Splatoon Philippines at the Fighting Game Arena.
