At the end of the EVO Japan lead-in event Sai 2017, Nakatsu of the Tekken Project took the stage and announced that the arcade version of Tekken 7: Fated Retribution will be getting the console characters later this year. This includes Lee, Miguel, Panda, Kuma, Eddy, and even pre-order exclusive character Eliza.

Since these characters will be available only in the Tekken 7: FR version of the game, the Philippines won’t be able to get them until the local arcades update the game from the 7.0 version. The biggest arcade chain in the country, Timezone Philippines, has mentioned in the past that the reason arcades can’t update the game is because the update hasn’t been made available anywhere else aside from Japan and Korea.

Other countries who currently have the 7.0 version including Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Thailand, Australia, and the United States are also stuck without the wanted FR update. Hopefully the update will be made available for us in the near future.

A console Tekken 7 event has also been announced which will allow players to demo the game before it is released on June 2. No date has been provided yet, but it is expected to be in the near future.
